Note: Under NAGPRA, museums, universities and federal agencies are not required to report when ancestors, funerary objects, or other sacred objects are returned to tribes or Native Hawaiian Organizations. Therefore, it is possible that there are fewer ancestors or sacred objects actually in a museum's collection currently than listed at the time of publication.
